HELP engine swap

i have a 96 eagle talon Esi auto trans. recently i have cracked my block. so i have to replace. i have been having a hard time finding a talon in junk yards near by. a buddy of mine told me that the 96 Esi talon engine is the same as the neon 95-99. i looked at the DOHC 97 neon and found the intake is on the front but other then that its the same. so my question is what would i have to do to make that work and will it. can i just use the block and put my original head and intake on it will that work. im not realy sure on the imports. i have been into chevy's so im new to this but trying to learn. help me please. and please don't make fun of me. please only people that are going to be helpfull respond thanks

so you have the 420a and you wanna put the 4G63 block on it? I'm not sure if that is what you are saying. but i would recommend a brand new engine. You will not regret it

your probably best trying 2gnt.com they would know if the neon engine could work on urs

ok i will check there but i still would like to get help here. its not a second gen motor its out of a 97 neon and im not sure that it is the same block. and really thats all i need out of it! see the intake is on the front of it but everything else is the same.
