well i have been workin on gettin my head off to get to my pistons because i had 2 mechanic's look at my car and the first one said i might have rod knock or my rod bearing is messed up. i had the other look at it, and he said i have rod knock or my head is messed up. so i opened my head up and that is fine. For the rod knock, i took my oil pan off and i see the rods and pistons and they seem to be fine, i moved the crankshaft but the rods and pistons are moving fine. how do i check to see if my rod bearings are messed up? or can there be another problem which i am not looking at?
the noise i heard when the car went bad was a noise like something was bouncing off the walls of the cylinder, and when it happened i could not boost over 10psi( i wasnt tryin, i noticed that before i pulled over), i also was goin about 40-50 when this happened. i pulled over rite away. well the car did start up when this hapened but i didnt drive it home i called the tow truck.
by the way this is on a 92 talon awd
