I was driving the usual boring drive home from work yesterday when I met up with a yellow wrx, a black s2000, a light blue wrx, a protege turbo, and another car(probably a civic).
The yellow wrx had a front mount, at least a catback, and aftermarket bov. I think it was running the stock turbo because whenever he punched it the turbo screamed, like my t-25 when I was running 16 psi on it. The blue one had a bov. The s2000 had at least a catback.
So, I was driving along just following them, waiting for a safe place to race. We finally come up to straight road with no traffic. I was in the far right, the blue one in the middle, and the yellow one in the left. The s2000 was behind the yellow WRX. The yellow one just punched it and started to go, so I did the same. The blue one fell back after a second or two, the s2000 was a little ahead of the blue wrx, and the yellow one was about a car length(he jumped about a car length in the very beginning wheen he just punched it) behind me when we shut down. I started in fourth at about 80mph and shut down at about 6k in 4th.
Now, after that I wanted to race the S2000. I had never raced one and I thought they were pretty fast. So we came to a long open stretch of road, but he wouldn't go, he just stared straight ahead (they all had girls in the car, I think they were heading to carlisle). So, I just gunned it and went on my way home. I looked in the rearview and the s2000 was coming up fast on my right. So I downshifted to third and gunned it. He never even came close.
So, now my question. Are the S2000's really that slow? I mean, I'm decently modded but I thought an s2k would be a good race. The yellow wrx was beating the hell out of it. Or did I just not get a fair race with the s2k.
sorry for the long ass post
