GSX Stock muffler on GS-T?

I recently decided to return my car to it's stock muffler. I picked up the muffler for a GSX from a very kind forum member here. Unfortunitly, when I got the muffler shop to have it put on, I realized that aftermarket muffler that is currently on my 99 GS-T is welded up until just past the rear left axel area. The GSX muffler has a pipe that actually connects it.

My question is if I buy that mid-pipe from the muffler to just past the axel area, will it fit on my GS-T?

The undercarriage layout on the GSX and GST are different (both on a 1g and 2g). A stock, or even aftermarket exhaust off of a GSX will not bolt up to a GST. HTH...
