Will these be shipping out by the 2nd week of June? I have an autocross double header on the 17/18th and would like to get the feel for the car before I represent the DSM's at Nationals in Bristol the first week of July, except I'm in Street Mod without Hoosiers so not winning just representing :hellyeah:

I'm hoping to be shipping the first 8 sets by then. It just depends on how quickly the coater can get them coated.

Any updates? Also, is there anything else, handling/alignment wise, that increase the arms effectiveness? Not sure how to word that.

If somehow there were an extra set I d consider it for my second GSX I just picked up :D No rush on my first set I can wait for the second batch
I do have one more set up for grabs right now. PM me if you want to put your name on it. :)

I'm expecting to pick up the first 8 sets from the coater any day not (hopefully). And I'll be dropping off the other 12 sets to get coated at that time. So not too much longer. :)

Any front suspension upgrades will combine to help improve the car overall. Something like the DG coilovers with a mono-ball bearing upper mount are a nice improvement. As well, raising the LCA inboard pick-ups can help improve geometry, although that's not an easy modification.

As far as camber and toe, it just depends on how the car if going to be used. And there are many people here that are far more familiar with setting up a car/suspension than myself.

Any updates? Rubbing my hands together like Mr. Burns over here LOL
LOL!

The coater is taking their sweet time on the first half. I'm still patiently waiting over here. Hopefully any day now.

The second half is welded up and ready to be dropped off at the coater.

at this rate I'm going to have to consider either buying temporary control arms or just towing my car to the upcoming events. if they don't arrive by the 28th I got a decision to make. By any chance is there a way to get them shipped USPS Express if i pay extra?

If I can take possession of them today or tomorrow, I wouldn't have any issues getting them to you by the 28th. That's a big IF though. I'll be shipping everybody's LCA's via USPS Priority. So, 2-3 days to you from Michigan. Let's wait and see when I take possession of the first batch. If I can get them back before the weekend, I'll devote Sunday to assembling and packaging up as many as I can in a day.

Do you have any plans on making the other lower control arm? That one giant sweaping arm LOL. Could save some weight there.
I'd like to someday. But I don't want to just use a regular spherical joint on the inboard end. I'd like to design something simple and affordable that only has movement on 2 axis so the arm can't roll over and flop downward. It's going to take some work...

Would the spherical joint not able to handle it?

The right heim/bearing would handle the load fine. The problem is that heims and mono-balls allow movement on 3 axis. This is why it would flop downward until the bolt contacts the bearing housing. Id like to come up with a twin bearing design that prevents the flop. Aside from this issue, the rest of the arm would be a piece of cake.

What if you used a bearing, and in-between it and the chassis, you used urethane bushings to keep the arm from flopping over?

I've considered something like that, but ideally, I'd like to come up with a design that didn't incorporate a piece of rubber or urethane that the assembly rested against or bound up against. Though it would probably work, I think I can do better.

Hey guys,

Sorry for the delay. The parts are still at the coater. I've been using these guys for several years and I've never had them take this long on anything. I'm heading down there again mid-day tomorrow to light a fire up under someone.

I'm ready to get these LCA's assembled and shipped! Thanks for your patience thus far and bare with me just a little bit longer guys.

EDIT: I just called over there. He says he has 8 sets e-coated and he promises they will be powdercoated and finished for tomorrow! *fingers crossed* I'll be sure to drill home that I can't wait this long for the remaining 12 sets.
