***PROMOTIONAL PRE-ORDER PRICING***

Sonnax is manufacturing a Heavy Duty Forged Steel slip yoke made for DSM AWD customers that have an upgraded 300m transfer case and are tired of replacing their twisted Spicer brand cast slip yoke.

The order was placed 05/26/2017. The yokes should arrive around September 2017 from Sonnax.

The promotional pre-order cost is $185.00 + shipping costs - you get it on the website at:
https://www.tmzperformance.com/shop...upgraded-dsm-transfer-cases-with-300m-shafts/

If you want to do it directly through Paypal instead of the website, you can send payment to [email protected] for $196.20 including fees, or $190.00 if you are sending it as a gift.

Once received, all pre-orders will receive their parts first, and then the price will be increasing to $215.00 + shipping costs.

This slip yoke application is for the larger 25-spline Ford slip yoke normally provided with upgraded 300m transfer cases from me, or Liberty Gear, or Boostin Performance, TRE, etc. The cast version Spicer slip yoke is also found on the Heavy Duty DSS 3.5" Aluminum or Carbon Fiber driveshaft applications for 1G/2G DSM's.

The standard Dana / Spicer 2-3-8431X is notorious for twisting on launches resulting in regular replacement by the user, or it becomes a binding problem on the transfer case output shaft, resulting in other damages that can occur.

This Heavy Duty Forged Steel slip yoke remedies that problem with significantly better material being used for manufacturing, as well as better overall machining, excellent circlip fitment and beefier material around the U-Joint bosses.

The slip yoke has a black hard coating on all surfaces for excellent longevity, resistance to oxidation and better wear protection. It is a DIRECT REPLACEMENT for the Dana / Spicer 2-3-8431X slip yoke, and is a simple 5-minute installation on the driveshaft. This also uses 1310 Series U-Joints, which is the same as the DSS HD 3.5" driveshafts.

This slip yoke WILL NOT FIT users with stock driveshafts or stock transfer cases. It is specifically for users with 300m upgraded transfer cases using upgraded driveshafts with 25-spline slip yokes and 1310 U-joints.

DETAILS / TERMS:

This is a non-refundable pre-order. You are paying up-front for a discounted price and your place on the batch order of 50. Once they are sold out, they are all gone. I will likely only make one order for these.

It is a 3-4-month process to have them manufactured based on Sonnax's current job timeline from the order date of 05/26/2017.

Full payment up front is required to get on the list. PayPal is preferred. I also accept credit card, verified personal checks, money orders, and cashiers checks.

I have provided several images of the slip yoke as well as the installed product on Mike Wohler's 2G DSM carbon driveshaft for reference.

I will update the pre-order purchase list very regularly on all post locations.

Nice! Let me ask, I had to cut down the yoke that I received from Liberty back a few inches. It would bottom-out in the tcase otherwise. The length in your pics looks very similar to the one I received from Liberty. Will they come the right length? Thanks!

Did your yoke bottom out in the tcase completely or did it bottom out on the splines? They are notorious for needing clearance grinding on the splines of the 300m tail shaft. I just had to do one for Adam St. John that had this issue. I took off the tail housing, and ground down the splines the whole way around at the end of the spline cut, then the regular yoke fit just fine.

At what power levels do the yokes start to twist?
Typically I see them around the 600-700AWHP range it likes to twist, especially on a full weight car or people doing hard launches.

Bottomed out completely or at least that's what I think. Never thought that it could have been the splines as the aftermarket DS yoke needed for the 300m tcase shaft was significantly longer than the oem yoke. When I tried to install the tcase, I could only slip it on the yoke so far and of course the bolts holes wouldn't line up between the tcase and trans. Had to take the yoke off after I marked where it wouldn't go in any further and get it cut-down to the proper length.

The yoke should be able to COMPLETELY bottom out. If it cannot do that, then you need to do clearance work. There should be zero effort on the yoke sliding over the tail shaft. If it is binding on install, then it is a tailshaft bushing issue or a tailshaft spline issue.

Can we work a discount on a transfer case rebuild with 300M output shaft to go with this group buy?

No. I am booked out several months currently and am out of stock of additional 300m gearsets ready to install. I need to send a batch to liberty currently as well as I am working on a new gearset, and building a new shop. This is simply for slip yokes group buy.

Well, it never hurts to ask.

Tim.

Can you give us more info on this ""I am working on a new gearset""

I will make a new thread for the transfer case gearsets once I have more details on it. I am still working on procuring special materials for it.
