Ok, i got my front clip today, It was not strapped down to teh skid, the FMIC had a fork lift toothe hole in it, the oil pan and tcase are banged up, from improper shipping. and the tcase is leaking.

he didnt ship me the rearend i need,

the shipping company is comming to inspect it soon.

####ing bastards piss me off,

Also, where is the ECU located on the GVR4, i cant find it
 
damn i would let them have it. thats how it is. mishandled product. they don't give a damn. BTW how much did you pay for the clip?

the motor is in excellent conditoin, 50k miles,
the inside of the oil cap and clean metal, and the valve cover is impecable.

just the handling is ####kin shitty,
and the shipping co is going to pay for that.
 
i just got that same motor for my friends 95 talon, urs is a 6 bolt too right? well i wanted to know is there any difference with swapping in a jdm 6 bolt then swapping in a usdm 6 bolt? it should all be the same right? i'm gonna take off the cyclone intake though cuz i hear that it never works right
 
yea, the 6bolts are identical, except for the cooling thing that is between the engine and the radiator.(forget what its called) and as for the cyclone, I am going to use it, I have the ECU from this car, so i will be able to utilize it completley.

Today, i was screwin around with the clip, and... LOL i charged the battery, and it STARTED!, it started so fast, it didnt even turn over a full turn before it was running. then the gas ran out, and it died, but other than that, shit, its awesome.

i still cant find the ECU.
i was all pissed off, until i realized, i had started the car, and it wouldnt start without the ecu, LOL.

had a good laugh, since it was like 4 hours since i ran it, and i was still pissed thinking the losers stole it or someting, and im sittin there and its like "F>UCK! it wouldnt start without the ecu!!

At least that part is kinda funny. But jeeze, don't do that, you don't know what's going on inside that motor.

And hide the pictures of the RHD before we start getting people asking about the conversion!
 
That sux. When my buddy got a JDM engine and tranny on a skid, it wasn't properly tied down either. The tranny's end cap was smashed and had a hole in it. The whole reason he bought it was for the tranny. Just ticks you off, you spend the money, wait the time and the stuff is damaged. I guess there are always risks with used goods, especially from overseas.
 
i havent got to use the cyclone yet, LOL. but when i move everything over, ill let ya know,
yea, im not sure the extent of the damage to the Xcase. it might just be the end seal, but the thing is i talked to a guy that bought on from the same person, and the same company shipped, it, and it had a busted xcase.

DID YOU KNOW there is a button in the GVR4 that changed the dashlights green or ornange? It kicks ass!
 
The ECU should be in the passenger side foot well to the outside of hte interior. Look up under the dash. If not there, try the driver's side. In US spec galants VR4's like mine, they are on the passenger side (a la right side). Not sure if they flip flopped it for the right-hand drive Japanese Domestic Market VR4's.
 
retail for the Xcase new is 755$

I have a guy willing to sell me that xcase, and rear diff for 225$

the fmic is worth 500$ or so says the origional seller,

but he is sending me a free one ;)

almost pay for my clip

but my luck, with the inspectory comming, im probaby screwed
