I'm impressed. What's the compression on that motor to be running such high boost?

I have no idea what the compression is. I really don't think the boost is that high. If the turbo was more efficient at higher boost levels I would have gone farther. If there is no detonation then there's no reason why it wouldn't last.

I kind of have a desire for a galant GSX. Has anyone ever seen one? I havn't. I know they exist. I found one on the fleabay a few years back close to me even, but alas I didn't have the money. Does anyone know of a specialty site for Galants that i could look for one on. I tired the usuals, dsmtrader, chitowndsm, ebay, autotrader, tuner's classifieds, but I couldn't find anything.

Anyone have anyinfo on them? pictures of the underside? I kinda of want to build an allmotor car. I think a high comression 2.4 with some cams ought to run alright..

The GSX's are sorta rare....its the VR4 version without a turbo...AWD, no turbo, 5spd....go to Galantvr4.com for more info...use the search function and signup on that site...I personally think they're EXTREMELY helpful....Galantvr4.com FTW

Don't remember, it was quite some time ago. Thats the first I had heard about Galant GSX's along time ago, and did research after seeing the AD as I had never heard of them at that time. Can't recall if it was running, or where it went. Just saw the ad in the paper and it had caught my attention.

Wish I had picked it up for a daily!

I was looking at that. I'm so tempted but the underbody rust is just extreme. I wouldn't want to be driving it and have a control arm just snap from the rust.

There is one around where i live. It is in my town at a small used sale car lot sitting with 4 flat tires and he wont come off of it. I dont even think the thing run's. A few local dsm'ers here have tried to buy it but he won't sell it.

I knwo I know,Im probably gonna get flamed for bringing up this old post,But today going to the local yard to grab some parts for my 1g, i came across a galant gsx. Which i've never heard of yet alone see, The amazing thing is,It was still all intact.drivetrain,motor works, body was in amazing shape! I am amazed that one could part with such a beautiful car. And i wish i had a couple hundred bucks laying around to pull the motor and divetrain out. Its a sad day to see that car sitting on steel wheels. Anyway. You learn something new each day
