Milton,
Hey all,
I just did a few upgrades to my fuel system. I added a new intank high pressure pump, an inline Bosch pump as well as upgraded my fuel lines. The charcoal canister was removed a long time ago but the vent tube for the tank (or whatever it's called) always stayed up front in the engine bay and dumped underneath the car. I've now shortened it and made it dump underneath the tank.
Yesterday after priming the pumps and bringing the car up to full base fuel pressure I smelt gas and noticed it was leaking from that tube. What could cause this?
Things to note:
- I've had the fuel sending unit apart
- I never really cranked the car on just primed the pumps several times to check for leaks
Any ideas??
Thanks all
