Fuel Rail

Ok, hopefully this is the right area. I decided to try and polish my fuel rail and at the same time grind off some of the casting. Can I grind off the ridge that runs along the top of the rail or is it there for strengthening will it hurt if it is grinded off. I just wanted the more clean look and be able to get a more shiney look when I olished it.

Has anyone else grinded (if that is a word) or ground off that ridge and have pics of it?

ya you can - yes i have, no pix. its just the seperation line from the casting.

Yup... I also ground off (not all of it) most of the ridge and polished mine back when i was doing my motor. Looks pretty good, but you shoudl try and match your intake to it also =)
