If memory serves, you may need to remove that bracket (at least initially) to plumb everything in. It may be possible to put it back after everything is plumbed in (though you may have to remove some metal). Having said that, MANY guys have run without that bracket for many years with no ill effects. Though purists would say it does serve a function: presumably it helps support the throttle body / intake mani.
