fuel filter?

how do i get the bottom fuel line bolt off the fuel filter? i can get the top banjo bolt off but there just doesn't seem like any way i can get wrenches down to the bottom bolt and get any leverage. help!

it is a pain in the ass the first time you do it. once you relise what works then it's a snap.

i used 2 wrenches. one to hold that little bastard in place and the other to loosen it. it is a tight fit, but after 5 mins of finding good spots for my hands i got it off. just look around and see what spots you can shimmy your hands around. if you still can't do it. take your battery and battery tray out. that should give you plenty room.

battery's already in the trunk, the tray's gone too. it's just the damn shifter cables that get in the way. will pulling the filter upwards damage the fuel line? it seems like it can flex a little bit.

I hate to ask but where is the fuel filter on a 95 gst/tsi. I have looked in the chiltons manual and all it tells me is how to take it out...and I already know how to do that. Thanks

look to the right of the battery tray and down. it's held on to the firewall by a bracket.

I wouldn't bend the fuel line if possible. Once it kinks theres no going back. Try it just like "echo" said to and have patience. Its a PITA.
