now, since i didnt buy this running ive never drove it so these are my first problems i ran into, when i first tried to drive it.
i heard the transmission grinding in reverse so replaced the trans.
starter was getting eat tf up from i believe the flexplate
which i think ended up snapping the flex plate.
on to which it wouldnt move obviously. so i decided to pull the motor and trans and just redo everything so i know its done correctly. so on i go!

so first things first motor comes out, tranny comes with it. motors was tore down, its pretty much cleaned up and put back together im still waiting to buy cams and get the valve cover and cam gears powder coated purple. also got an fittings welded up for the catch can.

when i bought this car and the guy dropped it off at my house, i never knew i was going to open the glove box to find a play station in there. i bought a tucked away 90's build. i had to go thru the mess of wires from the SAFC and turbo timer. there was also an aftermarket alarm system which was mad annoying, it went pretty smooth tho, its alot cleaner now!

with the motor and tranny out, i dropped the suspension everythings getting replaced. as the car was sitting for years prior to me buying it. i completely tore apart the front of the car. getting ready to repaint the engine bay. much needed. now to put everything back.

appreciated man! first timer so why not do it right! hopefully i got this motor in after christmas. dsmlink is on the list but gotta wait til after the holidays.
 
so since im building a mostly street car, people will be able to look at the car, ive seen peoples wire tucked builds and i kinda want something in the middle, so i relocated the battery to the back with 2g wire proper inline fuses, i left the fuze box in the stock location because i like the look, i also plan to have a bigger alternator so i replaced the stock alternator wire with 4g wire. i went thru some of the harness already and have started deleting wires i wont need. heres alittle before and after

Love the way it's looking, I'm in the mid of rebuilding my first ever engine. I got a 99 Gs eclipse I picked up for 300 bucks, had a loss of compression. The piston was exploded in the block and the crankshaft scarred in multiple spots. What brand paint are you using?
 
thanks guys. for paint im not sure what brand im going to use. i want to use either a matte black or something with sparkle in it. haven't decided yet. but ill be spraying it, and clearing it with a gun.

acquired acouple of parts!
poly motor mounts, had trouble with one set not fitting in the mount.
got a boost controller
short route throttle cable
got a brand new flex plate after the first one snapped
egr block off
catch can
digital trans gauge
new front control arms
new tie rods
poly bushings for the front sway bar
moman gauges
quick release for the front bumper
also got some evo springs and retainers coming in the mail.

thanks man! i appreciate it. trying to do this car right. first dsm, first boosted car too. the car came with a 20g but i think i have a little bigger turbo? idk if its better or anything. no markings on it so i dont knownwhat kinda turbo it is. im going weekend street car wanna be able to beat anything. lots of boost low rpm?

Not to be nit picky or rude, but I wouldn't recommend leaving the oil pump gear painted like that. The paint probably wont hold up to the timing belt running on it and then you are looking at embedding paint into the belt, which cant help its service life.* Just my .02 trying to help. Good luck regardless!

Oh shoot, disregard. I see you did but the system hasn't updated your signature with it yet.

thanks man, no rude ness taken id rather take the advice from someone who knows and done it. dont want this build to be blown up when im done 😂 tho, the pictures alittle old, i have sanded the gears of all the pulleys that got a new coat of paint!

anyone know about the turbos's? 400/450 hp goal? strictly weekend street monster. it'll probably hit the track once in its life. have manifolds for both of them.

3g revised lifters came in, also got a set of evo springs and retainers.
