Finally got my dream car on Friday. I have been looking for a new car for awhile but nothing new jumped out at me. I wa thinking about a Galant VR4 so I could have the triumvirate (I have a 1G and 2G already... just needed the VR4), but decided against it. So after going to the auto show at the Jacob Javitz Center, I decided what to pursue. Took a couple months, but I got it. The car I wanted for close to 15 years now! Drove down to Washington DC to get it and it was worth the drive and every penny! All maintenance done, car is in great shape with 52K miles on her. 1994 S4! Check out a pic with my mom in her. Took her a couple minutes to get out, but she liked it otherwise.

Yep, Lotus Esprit S4, Larry.

Ripper... it has a 2.2L motor, RWD, mid engine. 264HP/264TQ. It runs a small Garrett turbo and performance upgrades come by way of ECU chip upgrades which are real cheap. Has some real neat things going on and some things I am still checking out. One of the more interesting features is what they call "overboost". From a stop, you rev the motor to 5K. For 30 seconds afterwards you get an extra 2 psi of boost, good for an additional 20HP. You get this little trick once per start. Definitely different. Stock except for a Nardi steering wheel and Mickelwright exhaust. An absolute dream to drive. I will most likely end up getting a chip to up it to 300HP/320TQ and add a BOV. It doesn't need a thing, but I think those 2 would be an excellent addition. Of course on the ride home a rock flew up and chipped the windshield so that and the rear brakes get addressed first. Otherwise, car is very sound.
 
Thanks guys. I got it for about the price of an Evo that is not marked up. I compare it to that because if I didn't get it, I would've gotten an Evo.

Thanks. Stay away from the 97s. They are the worst of the V8 models. The V8s are just getting to the point where most of the bull is getting addressed and now they are gonna stop making them.
 
a 4cyl esprit in that body style has always been my dream, i wanted my first car to be one, i settles for a porsche instead but damn i love s4's!!! props bro
