It's going to be injector upgrade time soon and right now I'm looking at the option of Extreme PSI 580cc injectors:

or, FIC 650s from Extreme PSI:

I'd like to be able to tune without having to get a EPROM to compensate for larger injectors, but I don't want to run into timing issues others have experienced with running big injectors. The only tuning tool I will be using will be the MAF-T. I also plan on an Evo III 16g with 2G mani, and tubular O2, but I'll still be on the 14b for a while. But I might have the urge to go 50 trim after the Evo III. Car will also be getting RRE FMIC in the future. So, should I opt for 580s, or FIC 650s? Also, I know I'll need new injector O-rings and the insulators...anyone have the part numbers or where I can get them online? Thanks for the help.

BTW, mods are :

3" turboback no cat,act 2600,190fp,mbc@16,maf-t,uicp, 3" intake,boost & egt, apex tt, datalogger

So far, a few people have recommended the FIC's. 650s won't be overkill while still on 14b?

Well right now injectors are the only thing preventing me from running more boost on the 14b (intercooler too). Would like to run 19psi (even though 14b may not be very efficient at that boost level) until it's turbo time.

Without EPROM code changes, you don't even want to THINK about trying to run 850's. 650's or smaller is the only way to go.

You're not going to gain anything running 19 psi on a 14b on pump gas, especially with a stock SMIC. My car (14b, smic, 550's) is faster at 17 psi then it is at 19 psi.

So, in your opinion (I always read your posts...VERY informative), should I go 580s, 550s, or 650s?

I'm glad I have helped you.:thumb:

In all seriousness, I don't know what size you "should" use. It's not a big deal really.

You should get a modded EPROM and run 950's. :D

For the 14b, 550's are perfect. For an EvoIII16g, 580's are probably a bit of a better choice.

650's would work with both of those and a 50 trim, but you're going to have "a lot" of timing.

And as Kyle mentioned above, running higher boost on the 14b doesn't make much sense. It becomes inefficient and doesn't produce any more power for you at 19psi compared to 16 or 17psi.
