fairly new turbo, already blown why

I just picked up a turbo with 2000 miles on a evo 3 small 16g, was rebuilt before the 2000 miles, bought it used, it was fine , no play at all, well after 4 weeks it's whining and smokin, it has a good bit of in and out play, my crush washers ontop the turbo for the oil feed leaked a tiny tiny bit for a few days till I got new ones, what's caused my turbo to fail, I'm gonna buy a new one but dnt want it to fail also due to somethng else, any help is appreciated, thanks guys JC

another thing, it didn't start whining till after I cleaned all the oil out of the intercooler and pipes due to the old turbo failing, it had the in and out play before that but no whining

Wait, so the turbo had "2000" miles and the seller claimed to had it rebuilt already. This screams BS all over.

no it was rebuilt and now it has 2000 on it , I don't know the mileage before that

didnt you ask me about this one? Most turbos fail do to poor lubrication. Low oil pressure, clogged feed lines, etc.
