I saw that you can put an external wastegate on your o2 housing. But I have seen most people with an external wastegate on there exhaust manifold. Is there a difference if you put it on one or the other? Does putting it one place help the performance rather than putting it on the other location?

its a matter of opinion really. Some agree with manifold mounted gates (cause they've gone fast and are proven), but some argue the o2 is better for overall control/spool...etc and w/e else. I just feel that both work, both have been proven so in this case Id do what was cheaper. however for my next application and if I have money it will be an o2 mounted gate...

Both setups have been proven to work. It depends alot on what turbo you are planning on running as to what you do with the wastegate....
