Ok i'm upgrading my exhaust, but i'm having troubles finding exactly what i want, or maybe i've found what i want just havent realized it.

Heres what i want:

little bit bigger than stock, ported, o2 housing. I dont know the exact sizes and everything of the o2 housings, but i want a better flowing one that will bolt on to my current stock setup easily, still have the o2 sensor tap, and still have internal wastegate tube. Also for it to be able to my 2.5 downpipe.)

2.5" Downpipe (just a simple 2.5" downpipe to bolt to my upgraded o2 housing, and that will also bolt up to my straight pipe and my stock cat for when i do emissions. No o2 eliminator downpipes or cat eliminator downpipes.)

3" catback (one that will bolt on to my straight pipe, also bolt on to my stock cat for when i do emissions as i said above. Maybe 4" low profile Muffler.)

I also plan on getting a ported 2G exhaust manifold, but thats a lot simpler than all of this other stuff.

I'm on a pretty tight budget so i'm not gonna be spending 800$ on a catback. or 400$ for a downpipe.

If anyone knows exactly where on this sites parts catalog these items can be found, or can point me in the right direction, i will greatly appreciate it.

I've already looked here, machV, dsmparts, buschur for the exhaust parts i want and i'm just having troubles distinguishing between which ones are the ones i want and the ones that i would have problems with fitting and all that. I'm sure a lot of u are running the same setup i want, just straight bolt on swaps instead of modifying and getting new gaskets and and all that.

www.rnrracing.com they have the cheapest prices period. For the O2 housing, you could either get a tubular one, or just find a used 2g one and port it out if you don't have enought money for a tubular one. If you are into building stuff, then there is an excellent vfaq on how to build your own turbo back exhaust.

you'd be better off taking your car to a local muffler shop and getting a full 3" exhaust system out of crush bent pipe. Then you can pick your muffler off Ebay, or get one at the muffler shop for 3 times the wholesale price on ebay......You'll still be way under 600 for the whole thing.

I got a 2 1/2" turbo back exhaust and the guy even put the rear 02 sensor back in for under $300.

The pipe and bending cost $215....the muffler...I got super cheap. I got a 2 1/2" inlet SS muffler with a 4" tip for $35 bux.

I am very content on the $250 I spent. Its really hard for me to justify $350 for (1) mandrel bend and a muffler on most aftermarket catbacks.

I ordered a Cat-back for my previous 95 GSX, and the pipe was about 6 ft long with one bend to clear the diff and a Arospeed muffler. $350 shipped.....I was like WTF?

I spent less on my whole turbo back exhaust than $350.

Granted its not mandrel bent.....but when the difference between the two is minimal and the price difference is astrnomical.....you need to do a little soul searching.

2wks pay vs. 1 wks pay. That becomes your decision.

Good luck.

Port your own stuff and save even more.

Do it once and do it right. 500 for a complete mandrel bent turbo back is already a damn good price. It's like having a dealer give you a great deal on a brand new EVO for only 20k, but you end up opting for the OZ Rally one for 18k because they seem pretty similar at first glance, and you'll save a few bills. When in fact later on once you realise what you did, you'll be kickin your self in the nutz!

is it a good idea to run stock ported 02 housing? is it really constrictive still or is it ok?

Do the highflo o2s REALLY help a lot or is a stock or 2g ported o2 housing fine? I'm not going for extreme drag racing here, i'm just wondering if its worth the money to pay 200 bucks for a new o2 housing.

alrighty so i buy myself a 2g o2 housing, which will then fit onto any traditional 2.5" dp right? i'm just confused on like the fitting because if its 3" wouldnt the gaskets and everything have to be different to fit? is the end of the 2g o2 housing 2.5"?

Yes, it's 2.5". I have a 2.5" downpipe on my stock housing right now. If you don't want any downpipe fitment problems, ported 2G housing is the way to go. The EVO III O2 housing is bigger and requires a slotted downpipe flange instead of simple bolt holes.
