:dsm: i recently went all stupid on my car and got 2 mufflers off ebay and started to build dual exhaust.. i cut the pipe right after the flange where the muffler bolts on, then split it into 2 pipes and attached my mufflers , but i cant get the dam things to stay on, any time i hit high rpm's they get lose and start wiggeling and stuff. I have plenty of muffler clamps on there and other things but the pipes just arent sticking together, like @ the joints, if anyone has any idea's that could help me i would apreachiate it. :dsm:

i thought you said your dual mufflers were working great??

well what kind of mufflers are they? im assuming there crappy if you need 2 of them, ebay mufflers? ok well first off it probably would have cost the same to buy one nice muffler instead of 2 crappy ones, and it would sound better. did you weld the mufflers on?

i had limited shop time so i welded some stuff and i used flexpipe and clamps for the rest, it all sounds just fine but they seriously blow off @ the joints, it still sounds ok but the muffler is only like half on.. i guess i just need to get back into the shop and weld the crap outa everything..

ya try that and tell us how it works

so far not to good, i went home and told my mom she needed to buy me a welder and she just kinda got mad and told me to go buy my own. :thumbdown so now i need to either find a new mom or go borrow my friends shop some more.. but yea ill post results or a WTB for a new muffler setup.

ok i took some pictures today, it was raining so i just took a couple quickeys, they are not very high res but they should let you see the paint and agony im going through with this mod. i have tried everthing under the sun that doesnt include welding.

and this is where it gets ugly. The mufflers are flow tech red hots.. got um for like 20 bucks each, i painted um black toward the end cuz they looked kinda dumb ( not like they still dont..) at the end there i have a clamp and some muffler tape that is not even close to holding.. and @ the closer side i have some handy dandy chicken wire holding the muffler in place..

this is the right side muffler, there is a peice of flex pipe comming from the branch off, the going around the spare tire holder incloser, then it has a tube inside that, which finally takes one more turn and hooks into the muffler.
YES i know this is like the worst exhaust mod in the entire world but i didnt post this to get flamed on, i just really need some help, so any tips would be great. like what to hang the muffler with, and where? or what 2. and yea any other sugestions or just tips would help.

wow that is ghetto rigged!

well my first suggestion would be to buy some tips to put on the ends of those. second suggestion would be find a shop to weld them on for you! :thumb:

u mean like buy some crome muffler tips? I havent thought of that but it would probly make them look nice. I talked my friend into letting me use his shop AGAIN, so ill weld the crap outa them and try and get some pics up if u guys wanna see um..
