OK, here is my delima... I bought this tranny form a guy who scam me along time ago. This same tranny i send to jack transmission to have it rebuild to stage 3 and cryoed. But not knowing what i have they(jacks) rebuild it and send it back to me in brand new paint...
The tranny is now in the car. i came to curiosity and decided to check the transmission Vin and find out what exactly i have. well guess what... its evo3 tranny! i refused to believe it so i check with several other sources but again they confirmed my findings. I talk to twicks69 and he help me id my tranny and again its evo3. He told me what need to be done and was a great help.
I emailed jack like 5,6 times/days and finally got an answer. He told me to look at his videos on how to identified what year of tranny i have. Thants a good way to look at it if you have the tranny out but, what about if its in the car already? what can i do to look at it without having to take the tranny out to save money? should i pull the tranny apart like changing the clutch and look at it form that way?
i just don't know what to do. its been since summer the car been sitting. i am afraid to drive it. i don't have cash right now ### i am in school and trying to save money to do something about it. It would of been great if Jack would let his customer know what they have because sometimes we normal people don't know what we have. I need to know what other ways i can check the tranny for different output gears without taking the tranny all the way out of the car. Here is a video of him showing how you can check when the tranny is out... but i need to find other ways i can check to save money at the shop...Please help, from all the transmission gurus out there... thank you..
