evo runs 15s in 1/4 mile

I was just watching everyones favorite show "super2nr" on tnn. They did a test on a bunch of cars out of the new 2f2f movie. For some reason the evo ran like crap. It ran a 15.3 in the 1/4 mile. Its unfortunate because this girlie pink s2000 smoked it and it made the evo look like a crap car. It must have been driven real hard.

there's no way an evo ran a 15.3 unless the guy missed shifts or something. Stock they run a low 14 or high 13 I believe, so there must have been some problem, or it wasn't an evo.

yeah i dont know. I think the car has been drivin hard during the movie and all that and something must be screwed up. Unless it was a oz and the stupid show called it a evo.

Well, if you listened carefully - "Holywood cars are holywood cars" and specifically they are all show with little or no tuning into them, so it is sad. And I like dthe comment about that pink s2k :"Sure ugly, but it is fastest of the bunch."

yeah but getting a evo to the 15s would take some "detuning" since stock they would smoke that. I dont care how hollywood the car is thats just plain sad.

alomst positive its a lancer, unless mitsu specially shipped an evo7 from japan and made it right hand drive. And they would have done this a year or more ago considering this was filmed last spring/summer

Friend just ran a 13.4 @ 101 in his stock evo last week so theres something wrong.

if you are talking about the car in the movie, its an evolution seven, which ran MUCH faster than an 8

I saw the show and it was a evo 8 but like they also said they are hollywood cars and they beat the crap out of them.Also they probaly had one of the morons from the show drive it so they werent that good of a driver.

Well thats a good thing in way. Look at it like this, when some cocky guy in his v8 mustang GT see's one and trys to race a real one, he will prolly get his doors blown off.

last week at the track i saw an evo ran a 13 second flat and another a 13.3 the one that did a 13 might have been slightly modded because the muffler was not factory but the one that did a 13.3 looked completely stock. if the car on the show was a real evo it had problems or the driver sucked

it comes on saturday and sunday mornings around 11pm pacific. I am not sure if thats the exact time. Its on TNN right after the fishing shows and before TRUCKS.

No knoob it had the stock turbo i am assuming. The driver was not a bad driver because he was the same one that tested the s2000, skyline and something else. He had good times with the s2000. I think the car was just ruined.

they test drove the supra, the skyline, the pink s2k and the evo 8.
the reason why the s2k ran such a great time, was because it was supercharged....as for the evo? well like it was said before, it's a hollywood car.
