We all know that mitsubishi installed another crappy part on their motors called a balance shaft. This will ultimately lead to vibration and cause your motor to leak out out of the side of the motor and eventually take the motor to the grave, I know this because it just happened to me this weekend. Here is a rule of thumb, just replace the damn thing with a balance shaft eliminator kit. It costs $50.00 and a little bit of labor... well alot or labor actually if you're doing it yourself. So let's see $50.00 - 200.00 with labor or $2,000-$3,000? You make the decision, but if you let it go on you'll end up like me, and that is nothing but a dead motor and a puddle of oil, not a good scene.
