I need to know what my engine model number is so I can get valve keepers for my car. It is supposed to be on the Vehicle Identification Code Plate located on the engine side of the firewall, but I cannot read mine because it is so old. If anyone knows of another way I can find this code out that would be great. Also if you have an 1992 Eagle Talon TSi awd, I assume the code would be the same so if you could look that up and send it to me that would be great. I also know there should be a directory, or a place you can call to get this information, however I don't know of this place, so if you know the place I could use that too. Thanks for all your help, any feedback would be great. Thanks...

yea the engines a 4g63, or sometimes people say 4g43t. also is your looking for the VIN check right to the left of your steering wheel under your windshield, theres a plate there that has it, you should be able to see it from the outside of your car, also do you have a 20b, or do you want onwe, i was driving our 13b yesterday w/the top down, 91' convert.

4G63 isn't what the parts guy wants. He said he wants some 5 letter than number code. I don't understand why it matters, because I just need valve keepers, and a couple gaskets. So close to fixing the car, yet so far... and no I don't have a 20b engine. That will be my next project... or the prototype quadruple rotary... haha but probably not since that would eat money away... thanks for your help...

there's a part number on the motor, theres also one on the tranny. i only know this cause i had to determine what number was on the tranny when i got the gvr4 tranny, cause one has the incorrect final drive and the car will f*** up if u put that tranny in. i'm not sure where u could find the number on the motor tho. i would maybe try looking on the wall on the left side of the motor near all the belts.

He wants you VIN from the windshield (assuming it's an original engine) 1992 was a transition year between different styles of the 4G63 so he needs to get the build date from the VIN to make sure you get the right parts.
