Quick rundown on fuel side.
New Fuel lab Filter 818 with -6 AN lines. Stock lines from the tank
New Walbro 450lph E85
Edelbrock/SX AFPR with -6 AN lines to rail. (It has been tested good)
1000 ID Injectors hardwired in, not plug and play adapters.
So this is the scoop. Switched to E85 last year and got the car tuned. Have had quite a number of problems after switching to E85 but I finally have been in the clear until now. First the plug and play adapters that I was using with the injectors kept cutting in and out. Hardwired them in and it was good. Walbro 255 died. Installed 450lph. Plenty of fuel, back on the road. Stock fuel filter was clogged, installed Fuel lab 818. Back to boosting.
Now while doing a pull the other night, my vacuum line popped off of the AFPR. That little hose about caused a grenade. Obviously it went immediately lean, got off it and drove it home. Put it back on with a tight clamp. Went back out to check and to my surprise the car still went lean. Right when I get into boost and fuel pressure needs to rise it goes straight to 14+. I made the tune pig rich, still when boost starts to hit, same problem. I wanted to make sure it was happening only on boost. I boost leak checked the car. Found out another vacuum line popped off of the intake manifold on the left back side. Fixed. Went for another drive, same deal. I thought the AFPR was bad, pressure tested it and used my buddies good and working Fuel lab AFPR. Same deal.
I do not think my fuel filters would clog in 2 days. The o-ring in the fuel pump was perfect when installed. I have not checked injectors for goo, which I am about to do so we haven't ruled that out yet. Other than that, I must be missing something small that caused this, I just don't know what it could be.
Any thoughts?
