e-brake light stays one, WTF?

So I'm driving around today and the e-brake just randomly comes on and stays on. The handle is down and my car doesn't feel like it's dragging so i don't think the brake is engaged. The light just stays on now at all times. Has this ever happened to anyone else

check the brake fluid resevoir level.

Check the little spring swith on the bottom part of the e-brake that controls the light. It might be stuck, etc ...

Hm... you did unscrew it and check? It will look full from the outside as the rubber seal is drawn down on top of the fluid as the pads erode. Just in case....

No I just looked from the outside, it's up to max on the resivour. I had the rear brakes done a month ago but the place messed up my car so it wouldn't surprise me if it's related to that. I'll have to check, thanks.

well i dicked around with the e-brake wires today and some other things around that area. i must have fixed it cause the light went away.
