I was walking into walmart one night in december and ran into this kid i knew before he graduated, i hadnt seen him for awhile and we talked and some how got on the subject of cars. He said he bought his friends probe, i already thought that was kinda funny. I said i got a 97 eclipse but i told him i was kinda looking for a talon or another eclipse. He goes on to say... You dont want a talon, you want a cougar. I havnt talked to him since. A couple friends of mine joke about that every time we see a cougar.

My freind (sigh) was soooo convinced that his mothers 3rd gen had and 8 liter tubo in it. He said you can hear it when you rev it up but it must have been hidden under the back of the engine, i tried my hardest to convince him otherwise and i almost had him until his mother came out and said the same thing Now correst me if im wrong but an 8 liter comes close to a 500 cubic inch motor i would like to see that one. Now i can say too much about the boy he left town and his mom gave me his project car a 90 eagle talon tsi awd

this wasnt a dsmer but still funny i was at the gas station and i had the gas pumping in my talon and the hood poped to put some washer fluid in and some guy in a camaro got out of his car and said thats nice is it turbo and clearly you can see it but i just was nice and said yea it is it gets me around town and he goes well its got nothin on my v8 camaro upgraded auto trans so it shifts at high rpms and i just said oh thats cool and he goes yea whats ## 0 to 80 time and i just said umm im not sure never really tested it out and he goes well mine does it in 3 seconds haha my gas was done pumping and so was his so as we were leaving i got on it pretty good and let him hear the bov in second and he slowly came next to me on the highway and punched it and left no way in hell is his car 0 to 80 in 3 sec what a...

The dumbest thing i heard from a DSMer about one of my cars was "my talon will take your Trans Am once we hit 100mph because it revs higher and i have a turbo." Now what you have to remember here was this was a friend of mine whos talon had a BOV and Catback and my Trans am was making over 500whp a fact he was aware of.

I've seen a GM 502 in a Saturn SC2. I've never actually done work on either but I would bet that the 3g engine bay is large than the Saturn's.

DSMer- Day before yesterday my brother called me to bring a book to him at his high school. As I pull up I see a group of people standing in front of a 2g Talon. So I walk over to see what was going on. I guess the girl who owns the car was told to add oil to her motor. As I looked on she had poured oil over her entire engine..

Non-DSMer-I was at a gas station a couple of months ago putting in gas, when a guy in a srt-4 pulls up to the other pump.

HIM-"GST Huh."

ME-"Yep"

me-thats ## turbo timer the thing above the steering wheel cools your turbo down somewhat after you drive the car

its a funny story but I think you should help him learn about cars if he atleast shows enough interest in them. he spend all that money on that car you might as well help him understand it

haha yea hes a friend of mine and he just got the car and ive been helpin him learn how to drive stick in it and stuff and hes gettin it down still has a long way to go but we all start somewhere i just posted it cause it was a good story from another noob with an evo who doesnt know what he has
