DSM USED TO STOP HIT & RUN!!!

So today i was stoped @ a light on a left turn signal, when a Honda (no not riced out) hits a pickup truck in the front corner, and amazingly takes off. The hit wasnt big but i felt like i was needed since im going to school to be a Police Officer. I gunned it as soon as it hit green and went after him, and followed him while on the phone w/ 911 for about id say 2 miles or so. Well he noticed i was folowing him and he tryed to run on the highway. @ about 80 or so i could up to him right off the ongoing ramp and forced him to the side of the wall to a complete stop, and when i got out of my car, finding out 2 more people followed me to HELP! well anyways we all waited for the cops to show up and gave our sides of the story, but gladly and surprisingly HE DIDNT TRY TO RUN AWAY by raming my car cuz i would of been ... Well I got a Thanks from the 5-0 and the guy that got hit wrote me a nice check for $500 which is going for my first Term of Schooling. He stated

"Thanks a million, dont worry about the amount, ill be gettin a lot more from my insurance"

What can i say, i just smiled said Np, and did a little Burn-out

just to show you that, DSM's can be used in everyday life

Most hit and runs occur because the offending party has illegal guns/drugs/both on hand, or they're intoxicated and don't want to go through getting a DUI.
