DSM Help in Anaheim area!

Sup guys, so i've been lagging on trying to fix my car, kinda broke and dont know much about engines haha! Long story short, engine with internal damage, sounds like a roller coaster when its on, best guess through a rod. Was wondering if anyone knew of any good mechanics that are efficient and not to pricey or can work out a deal. Also weather to have the engine rebuilt(would do it if i could) or buy a junkyard engine and go from there. Any kind of help/advice/suggestions would be more than appreciated. Thanks guys!
