Hey Guys, Jon Walker from DSM Graveyard
We have something that has just been a huge breakthrough in the Short Block world, that will not only help fix the Evo 4g63 Broken Block issues, but FINNALLY let you run Hypereutectic's on H BEAMS!
As you know, we have been pioneering this "Frankenstein" industry since 2007, and have come up with some very cool combination's. The newest involves the 4B11 Pistons.
As of July the 22nd, 2011, we have successfully mocked up a 4B11 Piston 6 Bolt 4G63, and I have attached Pictures. This is what we thought to be what we where aiming for, but we discovered much much more in the building and modifying process!
#1 4B11 Pistons are FULL FLOATERS, but 23mm.
#2 They are Standard Bore Size of 86mm and are offered in 86.5 ( 020 over) and 87mm (.040 over).
#3 We can use them in DSM 4G63 6 and 7 bolt, Evo 4G63, and most importantly, the DSM and EVO 4G64 Blocks.
#4 We must modify the rods almost the same as we do the 6 Bolt Frankenstein Rods, but to a bit more extreme.
#5. WE CAN MODIFY H BEAMS AND OTHER FORGINGS TO FIT THESE FULL FLOATERS!
#6 4B11 Piston does have the same .040 offset wrist pin as the Evo and DSM pistons, facing the same way. ( Evo is goofy, that is why they run with valve relives on opposite sides on DSM Setups)
#7 4B11 Piston will have the correct valve relives on a DSM Setup, but backwards on Evo's. This is ok, since we run non interference on all DOHC setups.
#8 When installed, piston to deck height is within .005" of Evo 8's, meaning compression will be very very close to factory compression setups, depending on head dome volumes.
#9 Evo guys who have broken blocks, REJOICE! You can build one of these puppies on a dime, since 4g64 blocks are everywhere compared to Evo only 4g63.
#10 - 4G64 can now run even a 2.2 Destroked setup with factory pistons. Remember, we can put them on 156 rods or even 160 rods!
#11 This means you now have a solution for high HP rods, with piston designed for high mileage, and high combustion temperatures!!
#12 Just like Evo 8 and 9, OEM Rings are pricey, so we have our own sets on the market! This brings the price to a point where they are worth running and can still be considered a good value!
I have attached some pictures comparing parts from the last few months of work. We offer 4B11 Evo X Ring Packs, just as we do offer them for 4G63 Evo 8 and 9's. We will have a few demo's at the 2011 DSM/EVO Shootout so people can have questions answered, and can see first hand what we can offer them!
Also, new on the market because of this setup will be 4 New "Frankenstein Rods".
#1 - 6 Bolt Frankenstein for 4B11 Pin
#2 - 7 Bolt Rod for 4B11 Pin
#3 - 6 Bolt Rod, for 7 bolt crankshaft, and 4B11 Pin
#4 - Evo Rod, For 4B11 Pin
We kinda dove into this head first, so not everything is finished and done with and ready to order. I have new tooling coming in Wednesday the 27th 2011 so we can start this process on all the different rods.
This is not only a huge breakthrough for us at DSM Graveyard and Graveyard Motorsports, but this is also a great discovery for the DSM and Evo Community! We look forward to offering these services for years to come!
Thanks for your time,
Jon Walker - Owner of DSM Graveyard Inc
PS, just noticed I dont have AMAZING pics, Ill get some in the AM.
