$3k for a complete motor/HKS turbo manifold/Garret turbo/HKS FMIC? Including labor? Am I missing something here? Either they're REALLY hooking you up, or they're taking you for a ride.

Please post pics once you get everything done. (I hope you don't end up with a polished 2G mani/14b/Starion FMIC/7bolt motor)

BTW, a t3/t04 is more comparable to a big16G/20g...so expect some lag. And please get some fuel upgrades. 14psi with that turbo on the stock fuel system = a molten block of metal. Just a warning....

yeah thanks laser lx for the info they hooked me up because i know them the owners wife is my realy good friend I will try to post some pics when I get everything done the parts are used but are in good shape I already saw the front mount and external wastegate and motor. Also I just ordered 550cc injectors and going to get a walbro fuel pump or witch one do you recomend I wasnt going to get this so i could get rims but I decided it would be better and safer. The t3/04 is way biger looking than the stock 14b.

I wasn't referring to the fact that you were a girl. I think it's great you're a girl and I hope you didn't get ripped off, but HKS manifolds are a quite rare and a T3/T4 can't bolt up to one. And the shop didn't tell you what combination your T3/T4 turbo was. There are a thousand different combinations it could be, that's why I think you got ripped off...
 
well yeah turbo tsi I know what you mean they are realy rare but I look at it this way I am paying 3000 for better and more stuff then I was going to pay for a motor and small 16g.
 
if its truley what your getting, you made out. i have gotten a brand new turbonetics t61 with manifold, delta gate and HKS bov from a junk yard for 300 dollars, the kid ran stock injectors and melted his motor. his loss, my gain. get ATLEAST 550s and an AFC to be safe, because we all know it is oooo so hard to stop turning up boost. my parts are waiting or the fuel upgrades to be put on first, before the turbo and everything else even go on.
 
dsm girl: sounds like to me this shop is just taking you for a ride. Your going to blow up the car in 2 days with that kind of turbo w/o a fuel system. You said after you added the exh the car started to smoke? What made you think it was the motor and not just a blown turbo? I see you live in Cali. Please After you get it runing take to mike@RRE.

hope once all that goes in you can drive it...not trying to be funny but serious...plus tunings goona be a big issue for that.

well I know a guy who took a 91 awd turbo talon and added a home made manual boost controller and thats it and he is running 13s. he pumped it up to 18 PSI and he can spank a lot of people.
 
Only diff. between cyclone motor and us motor is the intake manifold. The cyclone intake manifold sucks anyway. Use your old one, and tell them that. Sell the Cyclone on eBay or the trader.
 
Yeah ime gonna add 550cc rc injectors i got in buschur racing and what kind of fuel pump do you guys recomend. Hey GOT TRACTION they said it was a blown turbo but I still want a different motor because that motor had 141,000 miles on it and I am planing to keep the motor and have it rebuilt by my uncle he is a mechanic. Either sell the motor or keep it for a backup motor since I hear this cars tend to break so much. Also I want to get a manual boost contoller either the xs dual boost controler or the dejon dual boost controller whitch one do you guys recomend. INSANE 47 that was a great price and I am planning to run higher boost but untill I get my AFC. How much would be the highest I can run or what do you recomend.
 
Depending on what the specs on that turbo are you might want to think more along the lines of 660 injectors. 550's will be just fine for race gas, but if you plan on running big boost on pump you'll be running those 550's on the edge. I was maxing out my 550's with a small 16g @ 18psi on pump gas. I'm running a sleeper16g now, which may or may not be smaller than your turbo (it's probably a bit smaller) and I had to switch to 660's. You NEED to find out the specs on that thing, then get what I would recommend as 660's, 255hp, and an AFPR. I would keep the boost as low as you can for now, then once you get the fuel system installed get someone who knows what they're doing to tune it for you.

On another note, you will be overrunning your 1g MAS very quickly with say a 50 trim t3/t4. A 2g MAS upgrade will come in handy and would work very nicely with those 660's. You can hack yours to get by with some decent boost for now, but once you start sucking in >2100hz you'll be having some issues.
 
GunnerTSI: the sleeper 16g is a nice turbo.

DSMGIRL: The motors can handle a ton of power and are hard to blow up (if you know what you are doing of course).Your going to need 660s for sure also a different fuel pump as well. And after you get your fuel system in, your going to need a front mount intercooler. With out the fmic anything over 10psi will be producing hot air.
