I am making a custom exhaust and was wondering if a downpipe that replaces the cat-conv. is a good idea? There is basically no emmissions where I live. They never check for any mods. If so where can I find one for a good price?

huh? just runa 2.5 or 3 inch downpipe, and then run 2.5 or 3 inch pipes straight back with no cat and a high performance (or no) muffler

oh yeah, you can do this for mad cheap. just get the exhaust parts and have someone weld it for you. You can get those pipes at VIP or Auto Zone

if you run straigt pipe or an N1 down pipe won't your check engine light come because the o2 sensor will be working improperly?

Some cars get a CEL, some don't. Cats are for sissies

if you remove your cat, you might as well ignore your CEL.
