looks pretty nice, i like it...the speaker grill seems a little off for some reson...maybe me....but good job anyways! :dsm:

plastikote vinyl color, 411 black

the speaker looks like that cause the (SUPER BRIGHT)flash is lighting up the flat piece of plastic behind the grill, Im gonna take a daytime pic without a flash because when you look at the door with your eyes (and not a pic) it looks like thats how it came from the factory

98TsiAWD : I love your car, didnt know you painted your door the same, thought I was being original :p I like your car though

haha, yeah thats why I did it was to be original and I thought the gray or tan looks goofy next to the black dash IMO.
You can check out some pics of it on my webpage: www.pbase.com/str8ballin :thumb:

I did the speakers so its a lil different.

best quote on your page:
Dont know why this steering wheel cover is so ugly in pics, Its black inrear life

Looks nice :thumb:. Since we're on the subject of door panels, can you seperate the bottom hard plastic piece of the door panel (part that the speaker grills in) from the main door panel. It looks like it's held on by little melted globs of plastic from the back.

I am wanting to paint my door's as well, not like your's but similar in a way, anyway i was wondering, do you have to worry about the color wearing or fading off? I was told that the black would fade off really easily, and that it wouldnt look to nice. Yours looks bad ass man. Where can you pick up the paint you used? and about how much does it cost? thanks

One more question, is the middle section where your handle is grey? or did you paint that black as well? I cant tell from the picture.

got the paint at pepboys (they are rice people) back near where the touch up paints are and the like. The black that is stock on my car is a bit faded (its a 98) so Im thinking of repainting them as well.
$6 a can 1 can per door minimum, I plan on going over the panels again in 2 weeks

What I use isnt really like paint, it forms like a plastic layer on top of the existing vinyl so while I dont think it'll fade it may peel/scrape off in time. The more layers the better :)

coudl try interrior spray die. i used it on my car and it actually dies the plastic, only took like 3 coats of it too. illg et pictures when im done with the rest of the center dash being painted

Could you use the stuff that you painted your doors with on the handle and locks as well? Or is there some sort of spray that you would use? Is it one can just for what you did, or will one can cover the whole door? sorry about all the questions. Thanks
