To any person who is going to buy a wideband, please do stay away from glowshift products.

I have a glowshift wideband, least accurate sh!t on sale today. i always calibrate it (outside exhaust) every few weeks.
and it always says i am 10.0 AFR at WOT .. pretty conservative, and safe i thought at 18 psi ...

but evoscan disagrees.... well my with my setup SAFC - 30 on HI across ...
3rd gear pull from 3,000 rpm... and around 4.8K rpm to 6.6K , i get 9 counts of knock (with 71*F intake temps) while the wideband says im at 10.0 AFR.... :hmm:

well, ill be throwing away this junk .. and getting a innovate WB ... so heads just a heads up ... glowshift products :notgood:
at least evoscan is doings its job ... stupid glowshift WB ..

I run Prosport Electric Fuel Pressure, Electric Boost, and Electric Oil pressure gauges and they work flawlessly and match the factory amber dash lights in the 1g.

Yep everyone has different experiences, lots of products we can talk about about being better than the other, but it in my case its my experience. I like prosport i might get the electrical gauges one day. but for now im rockin the glowshift products.

I have a 3 gauge setup by GlowShift (Volts,Oil press and Fuel press) and they are all right on the money.I would go as far to say that if it wasnt for those gauges i would have had more serious problems with my engine. As for a wide band I wouldnt know....When it comes to that ill be buying that from the top shelf ;)

Well I have some glowshoft gauges, oil temp and boost, and they work fine, I have also a HKS evc VI and my boost gauge reads the same that EVC does.
Now I have bought a glowshift WB, I have to receive it next week, and I hope it to work as well as the two other gauges work

On my opinion Glowshift is a good brand, but well, perhaps their WB is not as accurate as it should be

I've been using my Glowshift elite boost, w/b, and fuel pressure gauges for about 4 months and seem to be working nicely. The wideband gauge itself is garbage, It vibrates on deceration and half the gauge's lights turn off every once and a while, when i called them up they told me to send it to them when HELLO i can't just drive without my dang wideband... I'm gunna get it fixed, sell it, and go with an AEM unit so i can log in link.

I just got my innovative wideband, and i traded my glowshift gauges to a buddy, gonna try the prosport gauges next. I like changing stuff especaillly in the off season but ill be keeping these.

I also recently swithced out my aem uego fr an innovate wideband,,,,, what a difference! It samples at a faster rate giving a more accurate reading, reads higher on both ends(lean and rich) i think low 9s, and up to 22.something. You can also hook it up to your ecu to get more accurate logs/ use as a narrowband, plus it comes with a calibration button and an led to let you know when the sensor in warmed up. Yeah...... i would never go back once ive seen the light.:hellyeah:

I dont know how much this will influence anyone, but this was my experience with GlowShift:

I am a certified calibration technician, the head of calibration for a large Aerospace company. If it measures, I can calibrate it, or at least verify it's accuracy.

I took my glow shift boost gauge (mechanical) to work with me to test it out. I have a vacuum/pressure calibrator that is accurate down to .01 In. Hg. or PSI.

The gauge was well within aerospace tolerance (which is normally plus or minus 2-3% of full scale for a vac/pressure gauge up to 100PSI)

The gauge was within 1% from -30 inHg to 30 PSI.

I know that is only ONE gauge out of hundreds of thousands sold, but I can at least say that MY GlowShift gauge is dead on.

Also, just as an FYI, I also tested the 9 dollar compression tester from harbor freight, it was well within 2%. Pretty good for 10 bucks!!!!

Should do you just fine glowshift not made in the states neither is prosport there made in taiwain. Owned both no difference to me between them.

Their oil sandwhich adapter plate is working fine for me.

Is it still working great at this point in time? Any issues with it during oil filter change time at all? What about leakage?:hmm:

I myself am doing research on Glowshift gauges because I plan on finally putting some gauges in my car. What I am finding out is that glowshift offers some good accessories, but their gauges may be suspect (depending on personal experience, nature of issue, etc.) I was checking out the oil sandwich plate (which I like the idea of) and saw what you stated.

I'm also looking into getting the 3 gauge pod A-pillar setup because they have a full pillar setup (which will look more seamless than one that is screwed into the existing A-pillar plastic but is only half as long. Any info on their pod setup?

It may be that I need to get the pod and sandwich plate from them and the gauges elsewhere.

I have their 3 pillar, I painted it gloss black, and I have their 7 color boost and water temp. I removed my thermostat housing, cleaned and polished it, and then drilled and tapped a whole on the top (1/8npt) for the sensor. I love the gauges as the red color matches the red LED conversion I did for the interior (search LED conversion). They also do a gradual color change and a step color change. I removed my stock pillar and installed the triple in it's place instead of using it like skin/cover and the fit is perfect.
My only complaints are that the water temp gauge only works when lit up. I would like the gauge to work without having to be lit up like the boost gauge does (because it's mechanical), I have it tapped to the cig lighter light wire so when my parking lights or headlights are on the boost/water temp light up. My second complaint is that the little push button is on a long shaft and if you try to twist the gauge (like trying to center them in the pod) it bends the shaft and the gauge won't work right. Those are pretty minor complaints in my opinion.
I love my glowshift gauges, they look and work great, they match the red LED's, and the price fit my budget.

I originally purchased the instrument bezel pod (2 gauges around the instrument cluster) and was very very disappointed. First off it came in a flat black that would need to be painted for a finished look, and it had dis-coloring in the plastic, and most importantly my water temp gauge was to long to fit properly (not enough depth/gauge to long). I thought it was kind of hard to see the gauges around the cluster and sense I put them in the triple pillar I love them.

Thanks for the reply. That is one of the only positive replies about glowhift gauges I've read lately. I wonder... did glowshift just start out under par and then maybe got better in their product quality over time or what?:hmm:

This thread is stupid, started by a stupid person.

GlowShift gauges were made by SPW gauges (who was purchased by GlowShift). GlowShift then went on to scrap the SPW design and manufacturing contracts altogether. GlowShift now uses the same manufacturer as many of the other praised gauges on this site.

They also use the newest, most accurate Bosch sensor that all those other praised companies use. This thread should have stayed buried in the past with the rest of the ignorant posts.

true it could just be their wideband, i've had there oil press, boost and water temp guages in a diff car and they worked/lookde great. they were the tinted series

I'm having no problems with mine, they are very easy to install, even for the biggest idiots/newbs
A+

Thought I just chime in no offence to anyone just sharing my exsperiences.I had nothing but issues with all the glowshift gauges I got they just never seemed to work and even trying to get customer support on them they said it was my fault. So I switched to aem and won't look back but not hating on them I am sure there stuff is fine, just didn't happen for me.BUT the only thing I like/love is there gauge bezel pod.

I have 5 gauges from them and all seem to be very accurate. I made my purchase last summer. I am not sure how their products were a few years ago, but as of late, no issues. Not only that but the fit n finish is really nice. Pricing compared to other "big names" is hands down amazing! So im happy.
