I am at 130,000 miles and I have no clue if all the timing components were changed before I had he car to start, I know I need to change the belts at least.

Should I change just the timing belt and balance shaft belt or should I change all of the timing parts? Is there a good chance any of the other timing parts will go bad on me?

If the latter is the correct choice I am going to buy the the SBR kit, its 250 and comes with everything.

Since you dont know the history of the car I would do everything timing related. The water pump you could skip, just make sure to inspect it while you're at it.

Spending the extra $100 or so in parts is well worth the peace of mind that you will have knowing everything is taken care of. And you also have to think are you willing to let the other parts go another 40-50 thousand miles before being replaced having no idea if they were ever done before?

Just do them all, if you don't know when it was last done. Do the timing belt, water pump and all the tensioners. Then up to you if you want to do the balance shaft belt or do a balance shaft elimantion.

Its easiest to do them all at once because they are all it the same area and unless you feel like ripping your car apart again when your water pump goes then it all makes good sense.

Total list of everything id replace at 130k:

Timing Belt
Timing belt hydraulic tensioner
Timing belt tensioner pulley
Idler Pulley
Water pump

AND

Balance shaft belt
Balance shaft belt tensioner pulley

OR

Do a balance shaft elimination kit

I ordered all my parts for mine off of JNZtuning.com They have VERY reasonable prices on OEM stuff. Make sure you order parts for the correct motor as some of the parts differ between 6 bolt/7 bolt. :thumb: Also make sure no matter where you buy it from, you get Genuine OEM Mitsu parts and not some offbrand crap. You'll really regret it if you get a cheap no-name TB and it breaks 10k later!

Yes.. Be sure and replace your balance shaft belt. or do a balance shaft elimination.. When I bought my eclipse last year, the guy said he just got through replacing the timing parts... Two months later the balance shaft belt brakes and gets under the timing belt and bends 8 of my valves. 500 dollars later, I was back on the road.
