Ok, so as some of you might know from my other thread I basically killed my clutch, Im still gimping it around but 1st and 2nd basically just wind right out, wont make boost or anything. Im within a week of putting a new clutch in it, so Im gonna pray it lasts that long.
Alright down to the cause and effect, when this happened I was at a stop coming up hill taking a right, as I pull off there was a bunch of gravel so I thought Id spin them a little.
Well I did, I didnt launch it or anything just revved a little and let the clutch out and they spun and she shot to 6k quick, Im not sure what I heard but I head something, didnt sound like metal but it was a woosh or a.....well I just cant describe it. First question, will a clutch make a noise when something like that happens?
Secondly, now I havent been able to rip on it to tell but as I was leaving a dirt parking lot today, my back tires started spinning so I feathered the gas a little and they just lit up and im pretty sure my fronts werent doing the same. Did I kill my center differential? Or is this something normal for an awd to do with a killed clutch, I dont think it is but Ive never had it happen yet so Im just checking.
Sorry this is long but I figured I'd give all the details.....Thanks.
Eric
