Datalogging software for laptop?

So I bought a car that apparently has the datalogging cable already hooked up. It is to an RJ45 connector (good for me as I don't have a serial port on my laptop) It appears to be from TMO. Does anyone know any software that will work with this set-up? The previous owner can't find the disks.

What are you going to hook an RJ45 connector up to on your laptop? A modem?? That wouldn't work..

I could be wrong, but I am pretty sure that the TMO cable consists of some wiring to an RJ45 connector, and then a little module that goes from RJ45 to a serial connector, as well as circuitry similar to the following:

So it sounds like:
(a)you're laptop isn't going to be useable, since it has no serial port
(2)even if it did, you would need to find/buy that module that TMO includes with their cables.

Hopefully someone will correct me if I am mistaken.. but I don't think I am.
