Edmonton,
Ok, I will set these up in point form. question me on whatever is needed to make things right. My boost is set to 9psi do to my resent engine rebuild. Mods are on my list. Thanks for any advise you may be able to give. :)

1. My throttle percentage at idle is 0% on the AFC but 10% on the datalogger. Wut up wit dat?

2. My injector pulse width shows that the duty cycle is 10-40% MAX at WOT. This is on my stock injectors. Wut up wit dat?

3. My timing advance shows a base of around 11 and at WOT peaks between 38 and 42! Wut up wit dat?

4. I have logged with settings on the AFC from -1 across board in one run to +20 across the board the next with no real noticable differance in the logs. Wut up wit dat?

With all this going on my knock isn't severe at peaks of 12 but mostly between 1-4.
And just a general question, is fuel trim supposed to be constant all the time or is it supposed to flucuate during runs? Thanks again.

Yo wat up Beeotch. That shit is wacked right off the heezzy for sheezzy. Word up on da street is yo shit is ####ed.

Repin West SIIIDDDDDEEEEEE

Ok with that out of my system. Fuel trims are suposed to stay mainly constant. they should be around 10+ to -10 of 100%. I dont really feel like explaining fuel trims right now. But there are a few good post on this baord about them.

Oh yah. Word Up To yah Momma:p

1. the datalogger shows the actual tps, the afc uses the lowest value it sees as 0% and the highest value it sees as 100%, it doesn't use the actual values.

2. 9 psi, 40%
18 psi, 80% seems about right to need larger injectors at about 18-20 psi doesn't it?

3. shit happens. check the cas. also check your base timing off the crank.

4. if you are running really rich and you try to run richer, not much happens, huh?

Ok,

1. If the datalogger shows the tips then shouldnt it flucuate a little? Its at 10% all the time at idle, no changes.

2. Thats why I listed that I had it set at 9psi. I didnt know if increasing the boost to say.....18psi would increase the duty cycle that much. I am hopeing it does a little more then 80% so I have good reason to put in the 625cc's and get some money for food when I sell the 450's. ;)

3. check the cas? Whats cas?

4. So your saying -1 is to rich for 450's? I find that a little hard to swallow. How so?

I do appretiate the help, even if it was a touch sarcastic. :D :thumb:

1. if the pedal is not moving, then the tps is not changing voltage. therefore, the tps reading will be the same. if you push the pedal all the way down, it should go to 85%+ (hopefully close to 100%).

2. 9psi=23.7 apsi, 18=32.7 apsi, so no it will only go to about 60%, but you need to look at what rpm that duty cycle is at. Higher rpm mean the available time for an injector to open is less.

3. Cam Angle Sensor or something like that (don't know the 1G's as well). It tells your ecu where tdc is and thus allows it to decide when to fire the injectors. if it is set improperly, then your ignition timing will be off, however, I don't think it will show up on the PL., so I don't know about that 11-42 deg timing you are seeing.
Is your idle 750? If it is higher due to the throttle sticking open or other things, your timing will be higher as well.

4. I run my 450's at -10% and am still rich (2G).

1. Hmmm, I guess I dont know what the TPS says at WOT. I just assumed it was 100%. I will check.

2. Ok, I see what your saying, I am just confused for some reason.

3. Oh ya, Cam Angle Sensor. I dont have a Pocket Logger. Its TMO and I know TDC is on it. My Idle is about 800RPM.

4. Well, kick me right straight in the @$$. Thats nuts.

I think I have enough info to test out some junk. Tanks! Ya, I ment to write tanks.

wow, thats some useful information. Thanks alot.

I dont have a AFPR yet. Nor do I have money to get one, but as soon as I do I wont have any more major restrictions in my fuel flow.

Oh, and I have been working in the engine at high high RPM's for a few days and have seen the injectors go up just past 50% DC. So thats a little better I guess.

You're welcome. :thumb:

Although the stock FPR could, technicially, be a "restriction" in the fuel system, since it is after the injectors it's not restricting the motor from getting any fuel. Just wanted to make sure that was clear.

Those IDC's still seem pretty low to me, make sure to check for any kind of vacuum leak between the MAS and the turbo. Look on that pipe for any holes, gaps, cracks, etc, Just to be safe.
