went with a bud to see xmen 2 (####in badass movie too btw), snuck in some vodka and got piss drunk.

by the time it ended...pretty long movie, 2 1/2 hours or so i was just buzzin, so i could drive. i was takin him home when some blue lights came up in my rear view. david (the friend) told me to slow down...low and behold, top down oldish lookin guy wanted some. we were on a kind of a twisty road where police usually arent. i paced him in 3rd gear going about 80, then when the road straightened out i hit it. shit, propane not on. flipped the switch, and by the time that happened i bounced off the rev limiter in 3rd a few times. the s2000 had started maybe a car length in front of me and i had moved up to just about even with him by then. fourth came and i started to walk him. threw it in 5th at 6000 just to keep the egt's down, and he gave up with about 2 car lengths distance behind me.

sons of bitches are pretty quick. hope i get my new intercooler soon...i think thats the weakest link in my intake system right now. not sure if he was stock or not. either way it surprised me. they definately have some top end.

whoa there, im not fucking stupid enough to drive drunk, guys. "piss drunk" is too strong a phrase to have used in the first post, and im sorry i riled everyone up.
i might be young and stupid and "invincible", but i know when i can't drive, and i simply don't drive then. ive literally sat for hours sobering up after parties listening to music in my car until im conciencious enough to get on the road. tonight though i was far from drunk at the time i started to drive home.
that being said, ill admit that what i did was still stupid. cops around here fuck you over if you have 0.01% BAC when <21 yrs, and using a handy dandy BAC chart id say i was maybe 0.03%. if any of you still feel that is too high, so be it. personally i do not believe i put anyone or anything in danger that night, aside from perhaps my license if i got tagged during my little sprint, and even then it would only be from my speeding.
ive known quite a few people who met their demise at the hands of a drunken driver, and i vow to never do as such.

ok, now that thats out of the way, x-men 2 was pretty cool, and i beat an s2000. any questions?

In Jersey, the law is zero tolerance. That means BAC>0 + age<21 = no license until you're 21. Thank God you didn't hurt anyone, and you didn't get caught. When you've been drinking, its easy to think you can drive but you really can't; its just the booze playing tricks on you. Please be more careful dude.

All it takes is one. Think before you do something, the advice is that simple. You illegally raced, illegally drank, and illegally drove while you drank.

I can't run around being mad at every individual that drinks too much, likewise you can't be personally offended that someone drinks and drives. I agree somewhat with Cucumber's post, it's BS that people who kill other people while drunk get their lisence taken away for awhile and maybe get some community service. I think if you are caught while driving intoxicated over the limit you should have to do some time in jail, I think this would scare people enough into reducing drunk driving by a lot. Write a letter to your congressman or something, that's just my thought.

I'm not forcing my ideals on anyone, however, I have a right to state my opinion. Your aunt drank HERSELF to death, not anyone else. That's her own fault. Drinking and Driving endangers innocent people. Your aunt being an alcoholic does not.
