1G Daily driver megan vs FEAL coilover

I've been reading a ton and it seems like most answers were based off other goals for their car. Here is my situation, I have had it in my mind to get FEAL coilovers for my weekend stock rebuild 1g. I won't be racing it or tracking the car. I came across some megan coils that are the "street" version and they are new sitting in box. Should I run them sense I already have them or just sell them and save for the FEAL?

Honestly it sounds like you don't even need coilovers. Some decent struts and whatever springs you want to achieve the desired ride height will be just fine.

If your doing a stock rebuild wouldn't stock be the answer?

Based on you looking at coils, why do you want them? just to lower or get the best handling for the money possible, comfort a concern? how smooth of a ride do you want? ect.

I have a particular height i want the car and springs worry me that they will not be the exact height I want but I would be stuck with it. So yes to lower it some and I was also under the impression it would handle a little better also. The stock suspension on the car now is shot.

Can’t speak on FEAL, but for my weekend only car I run Megan Streets. I too have a particular ride height I prefer my car at and for that reason it made sense to spend the $650 on cheap coilovers. As springs/struts would be about halfway to that point.
They handle well and I’ve had no issues on +1 year of install.

Megans are okay for a daily or street car. They ride decent and will allow you to set the height where you want which is usually what’s important to most people.

Set them to zero preload, apply antiseize to the shock threads and you should be fine.

You’ll get a few years out of them before they need a rebuild (depending on your driving, local road conditions and climate).
