My eclipse will go in to gear but wont move. Rpm and speedo move but no boost or movement ????

this doesnt have anything to do with a dsm, but i have a 1988 accord. and it ironically does the same thing. did it just start doing this randomly one day? or has there been any other symptoms over time?

Does the trany makes any noise?, have you lift it up and check if there is something an usual?.
