Crashed my GSX... Need help with body panel names. And Suspension Parts

Hey. I was out driving yesterday and I did a 180 on a public highway. I spun out in the rain at about 65mph or soo. I missed all cars luckly and ended up sliding into a snow bank and off the road over the crub and stopped. I was in the middle lane doing 65 and a car cut into my lane. I made a sharp right turn to avoid a car and I ended up loosing control.

The rear drivers wheel turns and also turns with the tranny. The wheel is on a nice angle as it took most of the damage. I need to know the names of the rear panel hind the door. And the bodykit parts for the GSX fro the door and sideskirt. Also any ideas what shape you think the rear end might be. Is it fixable??

And if anyone knows a good place to get replacement parts.

Rear quarter panel is behind the door. Looks like you ripped off your whole sideskirt. You should be able to pound the fender back into shape. The door im not so sure about.

Hopefully there isn't too much suspension damage. Considering you could have totalled the car, you didn't come out too bad. Why do you have a black door handle? The original one broke?

Ouch man that sucks...I wrecked about three weeks ago and was thinking man I should not have hit in the front, maybe tried to turn to the side or something but in reality...It probably could not have gone better for me unless I didnt slide into that rock at all. My damage is comming out to 2300 done with some nicer aftermarket body parts.

My point is I would get quote from body shop before you start buying anything...see what the REAL damage is. You could just be better off grabbing a shell and swaping parts over. Gooluck though

The shop called today. With front bumper fender and rear qt. panel it came to $3000. But he said $1000 for just the suspenison work. He said the control arms took all the force. I need 2 rims and tires. Probley some other little things also. He wont use used parts sooo he wants new. But I was thinking about have him write something up stating he's not liable for anything that used parts would have play in failure or work correctly or in case of an accident. But anyways, the fender I will get new since it already has a dent. The front bumper I will do later. I just need the side skirts and the part for the door. The rear qt. panel tho.. I'm not too sure where to find these parts other then DSMtrader.

wow 3000 is alot! is that with out the suspension work and stuff? ### you will be upwards of 4 grand... Im telling you A shell might just be easier AND you could part out all the good stuff left on your GSX now and make alot of money like that. Just a thought...let us know what you end up doing.

Thats funny. I saw that same Red w/ Chrome rims on ebay today. I got the same intercooler as that car too.. I would have 2.. IDk... Maybe do the suspsension for $1200 and call it good till I get the body stuff done.

What did body sgop say for the fender, repair? How much time did they give? What about the door? Looks to me that the door has a lot of damage and it might be a better idea to put a new doorskin on it. As far of the suspension parts, try an auto dismantler, that would probably be the cheapest way to go.

^ Thanks... Yeah, the door was listed at Door skin. What is a door skin. The door in person doesn't look to be that damaged. Its just the front of the door. Its got a small bend.

Yeah. I found a guy on Ebay who sells replica rims. He will sell me 2 for a good price. Thats probley what I will do. I'm still waiting on a few people to get back to me on used rims tho.
