So I have a very odd coolant temp sensor issue.

- I'm running a pigtail from a 97 galant 2.4l.

Now since the 97 gst and the 97 galant pigtails are differnet, I used the galant temp sensor also.

Temps are between 215-222f with this sensor. (via evoscan)
Temps with the dsm is 125-127f this sensor worked fine before I swapped it out for the galant one. (via evoscan)

Here's the kicker... My ProSport coolant temp is reading 190-202...(sender is in stock sender location.)

Anyone have any input on this? WTF should I check?

Thanks,
Chris

The Galant sensor may read a different resistance than Eclipse one and that could be the problem. Just because it may screw in doesn't mean it will work the same.

Thats what I thought. But what makes the orignial read like that?

Will hooking the pigtail up backwards cause issues? I didn't think it would but I have no idea.
