All the BS staying with the 90 ignition / ecu isn't worth it. It's a pain to install MSD, Aftermarket Tach, or finding a replacement coil pack/ecu. Plus the AEM stand alone is for the 91 - 94.

To make a long story short I just toasted my 3rd 90 AWD ecu since late 2004. I'm tired of this crap so I wanna go stand alone, and I don't trust Mitsubishi ECU's any more. The DSM Link sounds good but I just can't justify buying yet another factory ECU. There's no way the AEM quality could suck as bad as the 1990 OEM.

What would I need to do this conversion? Coil packs and what else? I didn't see anything on VFAQ.com
