Just did my annual compression test and it seems like cylinder 2 has been the weak one so far. The block internals are still factory with the exception of a new head gasket. This car has never been raced on a track (learned my lesson from my GS-T)

I am the lucky 3rd owner which seems to care for it more than others

I try to upgrade small things here and there but the engine will have to wait until it goes under the 133 service numbers on the cylinders

I wouldn't be overly concerned with those numbers.

Keep up the good work. Always happy to see someone taking care of their car.

Are you on a stock ECU? If so, does your car stumble when coming to a stop or shifting gears? Asking because of the non recirculated blow off valve
And I would change that filter on the left side of your valve cover to a line that goes to your intake pipe. You can put one of those lawn mower see thru filters on there if you want a filter

I was about to point out how my numbers are 70-80 psi higher than yours, but then you could turn around and make fun of my 420a. LOL. Hey, at least it still runs!!! :thumb:

She runs good and surprisingly doesn’t smoke either. Just low power before getting into boost. Used to be 120 90 90 110 before I refreshed my head. I’ll get to new rings somewhere down the road.

Do you have cams and adjustable cam gears? If so, your issue is fairly easy to correct. You may have some overlap where one of your valves are opening early.

Stock cam gears. Had stock cams before the head refresh. Installed Kelford 272’s when putting it back together.

Ohhh yes. Once you dial them in your compression numbers should go back up.

Throw that breather filter in the trash and put the line back that went from VC to pre turbo. Then find a way to recirc that BOV.

    edit: 2 air meters?

The pressure differential between cylinders is much more telling than a static compression number itself, in fact on a modified engine compression numbers are almost null and void and for reference purposes only.
