I HAVE been reading the forums about my problem before i start a new thread, but none really gave a diagnosis of the problem. just a unch of question.

so here goes. i put a running engine out of a wrecked car in my 97 gsx, and have 155 psi in cyl 1 and 2. cylinder 3 has 0 psi. cylinder 4 has 30 psi.
i have heard that 3 and 4 could have 0, but not 0 in one and 30 in the other. i put new headgasket and bolts.
i did take this head off a car the threw a rod, and just barely touched the plug. it lightly bent the tip of the plug.

waiting for my boy to get here with my leakdown tester, but was hoping for some opinions before hand

so i just got done pumping some air into the cylinders.
with cylinder 4 at tdc, all the air blows out cyl 3. cyl 1 at tdc is fine. cyl 3 at tdc, the air blows out cylinder 1. cyl 2 at tdc the air just forces the engine to rotate......................................aNYONE?

Sounds like you have bent valves in 3+4. Time to pull the head off and take a look. Either that or cracked ringlands. Or so much carbon built up on the exhaust valves in 3+4 that they won't seat. I just took apart a head just like this.

well, i just got the head off.................. i got two bent valves in cyl 3, on the intake, and cyl 4 has 2 bent on the exaust. i will change out all 8 to be sure
