I did one last week! :D

Not bad - 180, 185, 190, 185 - 85 000 miles.

Burns oil too on occasion. I'm going to go ahead and turbocharge it anyway, I can always drop in a new built motor for about a grand. Not including the parts though, but just the motor. :thumb:

How many miles do you have on your :dsm: aliczander?

My compression is the best you can get. Even all the way across....

Heeheehee..... you guys will love my compression numbers....

2- 25psi
3- 35psi
4- 28psi

I think my rings are all shot :thumb:

I have a garage across the street from me. I know all the guys pretty good. They didn't believe my compression was that low. They brought their compression checker over to see for their selfs. It read 25 on all 4. I don't know what kind they had, but I have a Snap-on. If all goes well with money for the next week or 2, I should be getting all my internals within 2 weeks! So far the parts pile consists of OBX Intake Manifold, Tanabe 3" exhaust, bunch of gauges, Roll cage, and new racing seats. I got my work cut out for me this winter :thumb:

Compression goes down with altitude, doesn't it? Considering all that's weird with my drivetrain I'm surprised I'm getting 150-155 compression. According to my calculations, at 1800ft elevation here that's right on where it should be when it's new.

Aliczander, why does OBX Manifolds suck. I've seen them, and I've seen Venom. As far as I can tell, there is no difference.

ya there the same thing... now, whats that say about venom? ;)

heres how it was broken down to me when i was looking into getting a venom intake mani.... i was told by several people who owned them or at one time owend them in there 2 gen nt cars and they said they sucked big time for many reasons the biggest one that i can remember was the fact that it was not a dircet bolt on produt you have to drill holes to put differnt things on the way they are suppost to be ok thats venom

obx... i looked into getting an obx intake and found out from a obx dealer that they are the exact same thing as the venom they are i guess we could say the wall mart brand. obx coppied venom is what it comes down to and people i have talked to with the obx intakes have said that they have the same problems

if you dont mind putting in all the work fabracating sensor ports and what not i say go for it but myself im just going to p&p a stock intake and put it on it will cost less and work just as well :thumb: less heart ach as well cos everything bolts on :D

Ok guys, here is the thing. When you increase the volume of your plenum, your cams have to work harder to get the air in. If you upgrade your cams, new intake mani's help. If your NA, a intake mani with a bigger plenum will just hurt your performance, until you get really high in the RPM's. I'm turbo, so its a lot different. My buddy had the Venom on his 2gnt, but he had Crane 0016 cams. It worked awesome together. He had trouble holding an idle, but when you got on it, it took off. If any of this information is wrong, wisemen, please correct me.
