Sidney,
I'm interested in making the switch to coilovers. Most internet Vendors don't really work for me being in Canada, having to pay extra shipping, duty, and tax when the product enters the country. I found a "universal" sleeve kit through Colman Racing but i need to know what dimensions I need. My choices are 5", 7" and 8" in length, and an ID of 2.04 or 2.08. We can get these as well as Eibach springs though my work, so i will pay wholesale on them without all the extra shipping charges ect.... So, does anybody know the dimensions I need? or know the dimensions of something like a ground control sleeve? Thanks

The ground control sleeves are for 2.5" ID springs, and they're sleeved for the specific shock brand. I'm running Koni Yellows, with the Ground control perches. The Ground control kit comes with Eibach's, if I remember correctly.

The diameter of the sleeve on the perch kit is all determined by what brand of shock you're running. I can't measure the koni's on my car today, but if you could measure your shocks, that should tell you what the diameter of the perch kit should be.

Koni apparently also makes perches for their own shocks. I didn't know that when I did my suspension. I guess they use 2.25" ID springs though.

BTW, the smaller ID springs will allow you to run wider tires, if that's your thing.

Thanks for the info, i've gotta go out and buy a better measuring instrument to get the ID of the sleeve on the perch. all i need is a 5", 7" or 8" length.

I'm not sure what the 1g needs, but I run 8" springs in my 2g.
