Ok, to start off with the car is a 90 Talon Tsi (AWD) and here in South Georgia we have a pretty warm climate. Every day this has happened it has been 80+ degrees outside. The clutch and flywheel are nearly brand new, it is a ACT 2900 with their street disc and Fidanza flywheel. They were both installed roughly 3 months ago and have MAYBE 3000 miles on them (which does include one trip to the local drag strip and a couple of traffic light launches). I broke in the clutch for roughly 700 miles before even touching boost. Anyway, the clutch has been feeling a little odd and it slips until it gets warmed up. I can drive the car until the engine is warm and give it about 3/4 throttle and it starts to slip in any gear except first, however after driving around for 15-25 minutes i can go WOT and it will hold. I cant really figure this one out being we have such a warm climate down here, its like it holds better when its actually over-heated.

Anyway, the car isn't making any kind of monster power, i think its a little hard to believe that a car barely making 400 whp killed a clutch that is supposedly rated for 500+ in less than 3 months time.

The only thing i can come up with is either I have managed to glaze the disc, or when i took the flywheel to have the step height checked I was shammed.

Anybody else ever heard of this? Ill take what I can get at this point

edit: I dont know if it helps/hurts, but the inspection cover was missing from the tranny when i pulled it.
