when i first start my car and take off, it is jerky under acceleration. if i go WOT, it doesnt feel like all the power is going to the wheels at all, but it doesnt feel like a slipping clutch either (the rpms dont go wild). it's almost like clogged injectors or something. as the car is driven, it gets better until eventually it goes away. any ideas what it might be? i know theres a real crappy clutch in this car (duralast, i dont know WHY the last owner put that in there) and theres no air filter on it right now either. ive ran injector cleaner though and that didnt seem to do much good. any ideas what it might be? :thumb:

Well, assuming that you don't give it time to get to operating temperature before 'taking off', it'd very likely be that your rings haven't seated yet, your cams aren't fully lubricated, your turbo hasn't gotten its layer of oil on the thrust bearing, your lifters haven't lubricated, and the car is still running in 'warmup' mode which adds extra fuel (rich) so it'll warm up faster.

And if you're running the car without an air filter, that's just plain stupid, and asking to gum up and destroy your engine.

Give the car time to get to operating temp. I had a friend that would get in, start up and floor it instantly... drove me insane knowing how badly he was f**king up his engine and turbo, doing that.
