cleaning 1g bov

I got a crushed 1g bov but it is realy dirty. What is safe to clean it with. I don't care about the bling bling effect I just don't wan't so much crap on it.

My best bet would be to get a compressed air tool and just blow the sh*t out of it. I'm not an expert though just seems logical.

Just get some simple green, carb cleaner, brake cleaner, or pretty much anything that will take the grime off of it and put a little elbow grease into it. Once your done give it a shot of wd-40 or somthing of the like and give it a squirt and you should be as good as new.

Inside or outside? Inside, just blow out with air, for the outside, I wire-brushed mine and painted it with Bumper Black, a semi-gloss black.

Highly recommended to run an aftermarket boost gauge with a crushed BOV.

Thanks for the help. I have been saving for a boost gauge. I plan on that being my next mod after I get my UIP.
